In order to identify potential new customers and to continuously monitor the competition and market trends, a supplier of transport safety products requested a clipping of online media, which provides information on the relevant industries.

Reports from the construction industry in particular are highly relevant, because wherever loads have to be lifted, transported or secured in the factory, on the construction site, on the road, by rail, on water or in the air, products from the client can be used.

For a comprehensive market observation, reports on industry trends, relevant competitors, the company itself and all existing customers are observed.

For this purpose, the relevant sectors and the prevailing market situation were first identified together with the client and the existing customers were categorised according to company size and sector. The various sources of information, relevant keywords and competitors were identified and evaluated. When observing online media, research was carried out on websites, blogs, forums and social networks for contributions.

An access sequence was then defined for the relevant sources and information to ensure that all information received the greatest possible validation.
In a next step, Cedura implemented all relevant sources and keywords in the automatic clipping tool, which enables automatic market monitoring after freely definable update intervals.

The articles found in the online media are provided with further information such as source, date of publication and assigned to the categories market events, competition, customers or the company itself and compiled in a monthly clipping report. All articles are stored in an archive and can be retrieved at any time.
